Brenton was appointed a Sessional Academic at Murdoch University, Curtin University and the University of Notre Dame over a number of years.

He has a passion for teaching and learning and takes an active interest in supporting and developing future legal practitioners, acting as a mentor and having volunteered as a Mock Trial Coach with the Law Society's Mock Trial Program for several years.

University of Notre Dame
Brenton was the Course Coordinator in Criminal Law A at the University of Notre Dame in 2022.
He taught the entire cohort (over 100 students') the various elements needed to demonstrate certain criminal offences (e.g., murder, manslaughter, assaults, stealing etc.).
He was previously the Tutor in Criminal Law B in 2018 and 2019, which covered statutory defences to criminal offences in Western Australia.
Murdoch University
Brenton was the Tutor in Criminal Law and Procedure at Murdoch University in 2017.
He taught over 60 students' the elements that were required to be demonstrated to successfully prove various criminal offences (e.g., murder, manslaughter, assaults, stealing etc.), what statutory criminal defences were available to certain charges and the way that a criminal matter progressed through Court.

Curtin University

Brenton was a Tutor in Introductory Economics in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

He taught countless students over the years the concepts related to microeconomics and macroeconomics at an introductory level (e.g., demand/supply, aggregate demand/supply, monetary policy, fiscal policy, exchange rates).
His experience as a Tutor developed his ability to communicate and translate complex concepts to people of all ages, especially young people.
