Senior Criminal Defence Lawyer

Brenton was a senior criminal defence lawyer in a suburban private law firm where he was responsible for their criminal law practice, including leading a team of junior lawyers.

 

He routinely appeared as defence counsel at mentions, bail applications and sentencing hearings in the Children's, Magistrate's and District Courts. 

 

He managed to successfully secure bail for a number of clients who were in a Schedule 2 position and made several successful pleas in mitigation in which the Court accepted all of the mitigating circumstances that were submitted, which led to a significant reduction in sentence.
